Comments:
Sustained release tablets to be marketed in early 2012. Will replace OxyContin. These tablets are formulated to make them harder to break. It also makes it difficult to chew the tablets to release all of the drug at once or crush it into a powder to snort. When dissolved in water or alcohol, the tablets form a gel that cannot be drawn into a syringe. UPDATE: This product will be launched 29 Feb 2012. At that time, OxyContin will be discontinued.
