Actonel® available for once-a-month treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis

Actonel® (risedronate sodium) is now available as a 150 mg tablet given just once a month for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis. This dosing regimen is another option in addition to Actonel® 5 mg daily, Actonel® 35 mg given once weekly, or Actonel® 75 mg given on two consecutive days per month.
